Lots of hanging out! My partner and I have been working on some art projects - one of which is a giant Venus Fly Trap for the NWT Creative Collective Halloween event. I am SO happy everything is melted and now I can go outside! Our health care staff have been doing an amazing job and I’m so thankful to all of you. I found myself having a hard time adjusting to the change that COVID has brought so I reached out to other mental health professionals to find new ways to better manage my mental health during this time. Here’s a reminder, we don’t need to go through this alone and help is available. Be patient with yourself and others around you – this time is different for all of us.”

Today’s #CovidCatchUp is with our amazing Peer Faciliatator Shayla Moore, checking in with us from Hay River, NT. #FOXYFlattensTheCurve #HomeIsCamp 💜✨🦊☺️🏠🌲🌞👨‍👩‍👧‍👦📚🚑 “My typical day is school work in the morning, getting outside in the afternoon then spending time with my family. All of this COVID stuff has made my family become closer, which I’m really thankful for. I am excited for when we can have a big gathering again with all my family and friends. I’ve been going on lots of walks, either alone or with friends – it helps so much with my mental health. We have to keep ourselves active and remember to leave the house! BIG thank you to all our essential workers and my teachers for all their hard work!”

Been socializing more with my family while we’re all at home. I really enjoy having more time to spend with my family. I can’t wait to hang out with my friends again, like we use too – we are staying connected through messenger and texting though. Stay as healthy as possible in your spiritual, mental and physical health. And get to know your family more!"
